By August 5, 2019 No Comments

This year the Treescape® sponsored Queensland Tree Climbing Championship was held in Fig Tree Pocket Brisbane.  We had 7 climbers compete in a 45 climber strong field.

This is a massive well done to Jess Hamer, who took out the women’s category scoring 1st in work climb, rescue, open ascent and speed climb and came 2nd in the throwline, AND winning the final Master’s challenge.

We are so proud  of you, Jess!

Jamie Boston took out the preliminary overall with 1st place in work climb and open ascent and a 2nd place finish in throwline, placing 4th in the final Master’s challenge.

Michael Izzard took 1st place in Throwline. Grant woodcock was 2nd in work climb and open ascent. Josh Cole placed 3rd in Aerial rescue and 5th in the final Master’s challenge

Jess, Jamie, Josh have now qualified to represent QLD at the 2020 National Tree Climbing Championship and the 2020 Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Championship.
