Qualified Ecologist - Auckland

Description

We are looking for a Qualified Ecologist to manage our ecological plant and animal work for a range of contracts across Auckland region.

The key purpose of this role is to manage the EC team in the delivery of a range of services across Auckland. These services include pest plant control, revegetation planting, animal pest control and monitoring, and amenity planting and maintenance. You and your passionate team of Field Technicians will be working on some behind the scenes projects making a real difference to Tamaki Makaurau’s natural environment.

Your skills and attributes

  • A qualification in Ecology is a must!
  • Management and administration experience will be extremely beneficial
  • Exceptional people skills and professionalism, maintaining relationships with clients and you’re your internal team of technicians
  • Able to lead a team and work autonomously
  • A high regard for Health and Safety
  • Full Class 1 Drivers License
  • First Aid Certificate

The fine print

  • To be eligible for this position you must currently be living in NZ and have a legal right to work in this country (i.e. NZ Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or hold full working rights)
  • Candidates will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing, a medical exam, and Ministry of Justice checks as part of the recruitment process (at Treescape’s cost).
  • This is a permanent and full-time position working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Additional hours and flexibility are generally available.
