Arborists and Utility Arborists

Waiheke Island


Treescape are seeking experienced Arborists and Utility Arborists to work on Waiheke Island. These full time positions would suit Arborists currently living on Waiheke or be willing to relocate.

The role requires a variety of day to day arboriculture services including general arboriculture, utility and ecology.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic person with a passion for arboriculture who takes pride in their work
  • Proven employment history track record as capable Arborist or Utility Arborist
  • Be a team player
  • Have a high regard for health and safety standards and the ability to follow safe work procedures
  • Class 2 Truck Licence would be advantageous, but not essential
  • National Certificate in Arboriculture, Utility Arboriculture or related industry qualification would be advantageous but not essential as experience will be highly looked upon

Project Manager - Residential and Commercial Arboriculture

Lower Hutt 

Exciting self managing opportunity with a well-established, stable and steadily growing NZ company. This salary role includes the use of company vehicle and iPhone.


Job Description

This role is for the person passionate about trees and providing excellent customer service. This will involve meeting clients from the residential and commercial sectors, providing sound tree advice and pricing options for tree work.

From there the role involves planning and coordinating the works for a great team of Arborists who operate with modern equipment and supportive training.  

The work will require managing from start to finish, while being dynamic and using initiative to ensure projects are completed safely and productively, communicating job progress with the operations manager and clients.

The successful applicant must demonstrate attention to detail and pride in their work as well as sound judgement, good decision making capabilities and the ability to work unsupervised.

 

The successful Applicant will have:

  • An Arboricultural Qualification and experience
  • Good customer relation skills - will be required to deal directly with the public and clients
  • Good communication and literacy - will be required to document specific site requirements and estimated resources required
  • Have good computer skills and be able to use mobile devices (iPhone/iPad)
  • Ability to assess tree safety and tree management - will be required to identify tree hazards and provide reports

Arborist / EWP Operator

Manawatu/Wanganui regions

Treescape are seeking Arborists to join our team, based from our depot in Bulls. We have full time positions available with guaranteed minimum hours, working on our key contracts and also for residential clients.

Treescape is an industry leader and we take pride in our Safety First values, we provide all training, safety gear and equipment needed.

We offer training to Level 3 and 4 Arboriculture and Utility Arboriculture, so you can further your qualifications and career through our own trainers.

 

Job Description:

The role requires operating as part of a team, placing importance on communication so we are working to task as safely as possible.

The work involves specialist activities, working for rail, utility, commercial and residential clients, this requires differing tasks including;

  • Felling small and large trees
  • Climbing, dismantling and sectional rigging
  • Pruning; formative and for clearances near power lines
  • Chipping and processing debris
  • Operating MEWP (specialist insulated tree trimming bucket truck)
  • Completing site specific documentation through a tablet/iPad

Attributes for these positions:

  • An Arboriculture Qualification and experience (Training available also).
  • Have a strong work ethic, being self motivated, taking pride in your work.
  • Be capable of making sound decisions and working unsupervised.
  • Good communication and literacy - will be required to document site specific documentation and report back to the Projects Manager.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on safety for yourself and other staff.
  • Must hold a current drivers license and preferably a class 2 or 4 truck license.

Wellington region

Treescape Wellington are seeking arborists to join our team, based from our Lower Hutt depot. We have full time positions available with guaranteed minimum hours, working for both key contracts and residential clients.

  • Heavy truck operations for cartage, transporting of machinery and operations of whole tree forestry chippers

  • Be capable of making sound decisions and working unsupervised.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on safety for yourself and other staff.
  • Must hold a current drivers license and preferably a class 2, also RTW and Class 5 where required.
